Ruud van Nistelrooy held this record for 12 years before Jamie Vardy broke it in 2015. Vardy still holds the record of the longest goal-scoring streak in the Premier League.

It was in 2015-2016 when Vardy took the Premier League by storm, scoring 24 goals and leading Leicester to a historic Premier League title.

He also broke the record of scoring in most consecutive Premier League matches, which was previously held by Ruud van Nistelrooy, by scoring in 11 consecutive games. His goalscoring run started off against Bournemouth and ended when he was unable to score against Swansea City. Leicester fans and Vardy will be hoping he can come close to this record again this season as they look to challenge Liverpool for the title.

The legendary United striker is one of the Premier League's all-time greats. Ruud van Nistelrooy achieved the feat of scoring in 10 consecutive Premier League games over two seasons.

The Dutchman scored in the final 8 games during the 2002-2003 season and started off the season 2003-2004 by scoring in 2 consecutive matches. This should not be a surprise as Nistelrooy was a prolific goal scorer and held this record for 12 years.

#3 Ruud van Nistelrooy and Daniel Sturridge (8 matches)

Ruud van Nistelrooy finds himself on this list again. He scored for 8 consecutive games in his first season in the Premier League and achieved this feat during the 2001-2002 campaign.

#4 Thierry Henry, Ian Wright, Emmanuel Adebayor, Alan Shearer, Mark Stein - 7 matches
