Louis Van Gaal hints at potential David De Gea exit

De Gea could be leaving the club soon

Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal has admitted that he cannot rule out David De Gea’s exit from the club. He went on to establish the uncertainty over his future.

De Gea has been in top form for the club, after being awarded the Manchester United player of the year last season. He has come to the team’s rescue on several occasions. The 24-year old has 18 months left and he has not extended his contract yet. However, Van Gaal was not keen on revealing the shot-stopper’s status.

Van Gaal said, “I think that is a question between the player and the board of Manchester United." He added, “Everything is possible in the world of football. We want to keep him."

The signature of Victor Valdes raised speculation on De Gea’s future at the club. With Real Madrid breathing down United’s neck, we could soon see him moving away from Manchester.

Van Gaal also added that there will no more signings, after the acquisition of Valdes and El-Fitouri. He said, "No. I read every day that I am interested in players. I am not interested in players."

The 62-year old said that Anderson, Anders Lindegaard and Darren Fletcher might exit the club by Monday.
