Liverpool fans will heave a sigh of relief after what has been a tormenting period for the club with respect to star striker Luis Suarez. The Uruguayan striker told a national daily that he would be staying back at Anfield because of the affection of the fans.
“For now, because of all the affection of the people, I would be staying,” Suarez was quoted by Uruguayan newspaper El Observador from Tokyo, where Uruguay are set to face hosts Japan.

Suarez was clearly unhappy at Liverpool after the side failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League and had been linked with a move to Premier League side Arsenal.
Arsenal who are generally miserly in nature, were clearly interested in shelling out over £40 million to sign the Uruguayan. It is left to be seen if Suarez is clear about his mindset to stay back with the Kops.
