Liverpool striker Luis Suarez would fit in perfectly at Spanish giants Real Madrid if he were to sign this summer, according to Los Blancos legend Hugo Sanchez.

The Uruguayan striker has just come off the back of a memorable season for the Reds and his performances have caught the eye of potential suitors once again, in particular Real Madrid.

Suarez is currently preparing to get back to full fitness for Uruguay as they face England in the World Cup.

Real Madrid reportedly sent one of their top scouts to watch the Uruguayan at this summer’s World Cup and despite the fact that Suarez has not yet reached the world class label, according to Roy Hodgson, Hugo Sanchez admits he would be a brilliant signing.

Sanchez, a goalscorer himself, netted 207 goals in seven seasons for the La Liga giants and he knows a good striker when he sees one, admitting Suarez is the right kind of breed for Madrid.

Sanchez told reporters: Luis Suarez has a lot of good qualities: he is a fighter; he has a pedigree and a good temperament, and to survive in the penalty area, you have to have these qualities because the defenders will make mincemeat of you if you don’t.

“Suarez can triumph perfectly well at Real Madrid if they end up signing him. He’s got it all.”
