Leicester, July 15 (IANS) Leicester City coach Claudio Ranieri on Friday said attacker Riyad Mahrez is certain to stay at the football club for the upcoming season.
The Algeria international has been heavily linked with a move away this summer. He was instrumental in Leicester City's English Premier League (EPL) success last season, reports Efe.
"I am very confident with him (Mahrez)," Ranieri was quoted as saying by Leicester Mercury. "He stays."
"He has lots of speed. He wants to stay here with us. He enjoys it, he is laughing. He is not a man who says, 'Oh coach, I want to go.' No, he is happy."
Mahrez has his contract penned till mid-2019 with the EPL champions. Leicester have also been able to hold onto their talisman Jamie Vardy but midfielder N'Golo Kante's future with the club is still uncertain.
