Reports: Man United to offer Arturo Vidal £230,000 salary to quit Juventus

Vidal could be on his way to Old Trafford.

Manchester United are to offer Juventus and Chile midfielder Arturo Vidal a weekly salary of £230,000 to bring him to Old Trafford, according to the Metro.

The midfielder has been sensational for Juventus in Serie A as they have won three straight league titles. He took his talent to Brazil for the World Cup this summer and showcased it on the world stage for Chile, showing everyone why he’s so highly rated.

He is now, apparently, Louis van Gaal’s top summer transfer target at Manchester United this summer and the club are willing to offer him astonishing wages – which would make him one of the highest paid players in the Premier League – to sign for the 20-time champions of England.

Van Gaal secured the signings of Luke Shaw from Southampton and Ander Herrera from Athletic Bilbao earlier this week and Vidal is next on his summer hit list.

Vidal, though, has already expressed disinterest in signing for a club that it outside of the Champions League and with United finishing seventh in the Premier League last season, they fall into that bracket.

United are yet to agree a fee with Juventus for Vidal but it would be upwards of £40 million should any deal be struck.
