Danny Rose a priority for Mourinho

Manchester United have agreed to give Jose Mourinho a £50 million emergency transfer budget as he looks to reinforce the full-back area, reports Daily Mirror.

We have been following Danny Rose's situation for weeks now and it appears as if Tottenham are ready to cash in on the England international. However, Spurs have slapped a £50 million price tag on him.

Daily Mirror claims United have asked Mourinho to first sell the deadwood (Luke Shaw, Matteo Darmian, Daley Blind) and then the funds will be made available for a full-back signing.

Benfica's Alex Grimaldo is another target, but Mourinho wants a Premier League proven player who would not need a further six months to settle in the league after his transfer.

Rose is keen to find a new challenge in his career and has welcomed United's interest, as he is ready to play at the top level and be a more realistic challenger for the League title.

Ligue 1 star dreaming of Man United move

Rennes central midfielder James Lea Siliki is quickly turning out to be one of the success stories in Ligue 1 this season. Following on a slow start to the season, Lea Siliki is playing every minute and striving to reach new heights.

One of Siliki's dreams is to play for Manchester United, as he claims to be a boyhood fan of the club and has grown up watching Sir Alex Ferguson's Man United rule the Premier League in the 1990s and 2000s.

In a recent interview with Ouest-France, Lea Siliki stated, “When I was younger, in my room, I dreamt of big games. I’m a professional footballer, it’s an obsession ever since I could understand. I dreamt of Manchester United, of their stadium, of their colours. I grew up with the Ferguson years, the Boxing Day games on Canal+, the 95th minute wins."

The 21-year-old is a combative midfielder who is not afraid to put strong tackles for his side. United may need a new midfielder come January or next summer if Marouane Fellaini does not agree on a new contract with the Red Devils.

Fosu-Mensah could get recalled

Crystal Palace v Swansea City - Premier League
Fosu-Mensah has not played in EPL since 5 Nov

Manchester United are not happy with Timothy Fosu-Mensah's progression at Crystal Palace and could recall the player if he does not get regular playing time, reports Manchester Evening News.

Fosu-Mensah was signed by the Dutch manager Frank De Boer, who was sacked by Palace following their horrible start to the season.

Since then, Roy Hodgson has taken over at Selhurst Park and Mensah has not played a single Premier League minute since November 5.

Jose Mourinho rated Fosu-Mensah very highly and is adamant that he joins a new club in January or continues his progression under his eyes at Old Trafford.
