Crystal Palace didn't have a great record in Manchester with the Eagles last getting a point at Old Trafford in 1989. However, Roy Hodgson's side did everything they could today except scoring a goal. Despite United having more possession of the ball, Palace created better chances than their opposition.

In the first half, Patrick van Aanholt got a clear 1-v-1 chance from a lightning counter-attack instigated by Wilfried Zaha, but his shot went wide off the post. Similarly, in the second half, Townsend got an open shot at goal, but he couldn't time his shot correctly either. A point at Old Trafford is a good result, but it could have been better if they had taken their chances.
Palace is defensively excellent but its the lack of goals upfront what's bothering Roy Hodgson. The Eagles are now fifteenth in the league but could find themselves in the bottom three if Huddersfield win their match against Wolves.

Football is in my blood and I love the electrifying ambiance that surrounds it. I often watch the pre and post match analysis of a match and try to learn how to analyze a football game.
The thing that intrigues me the most is that there are so many things happening behind the scenes that are oblivious to our naked eyes. The technological advancements that has been made are phenomenal.
I like analyzing a game from a statistical point of view. Being a data guy myself , I am firm believer of providing insights through facts and data. Though a game is always unpredictable , analyzing it from different dimensions can provide some very interesting conclusions.
