Manchester United 0-0 West Ham United: Player Ratings

West Ham United

Adrian (6/10)

The West Ham shot-stopper made a brilliant save to deny Fellaini early in the second half.

James Tomkins (6.5/10)

Tomkins was not up to the mark as a number of United attacks started from the left but was good enough when going forward.

Winston Reid (7.5/10)

The centre-back saw his header crash the post in the first half, and was a vital cog in the Hammers defence.

Angelo Ogbonna (6.5/10)

He paired well with Reid to maintain the defensive organisation and kept the United attacks at bay.

Aaron Creswell (6.5/10)

The fullback was heavily involved on the left, and along with Zarate constructed some big chances for West Ham. He was defensively sound enough as well.

Alex Song (6/10)

The ex-Barcelona defensive midfielder closed down the United midfield well and sprayed some good passes around as well. He was substituted by Pedro Obiang in the 78th minute.

Victor Moses (5/10)

The ex-Chelsea winger started brightly and had a one on one chance against De Gea, but the Spaniard saved the shot. He was substituted in the 37th minute by Michail Antonio after a clash of knees with Schweinsteiger.

Mark Noble (6.5/10)

The Hammers skipper slipped behind to help his defenders and played a brilliant through ball to Moses but De Gea saved the resulting shot.

Cheikhou Kouyate (6/10)

Kouyate was forced to fall back during the majority of the match and did well going forward as well.

Mauro Zarate (7/10)

The left winger was at his brilliant best, and arguably the best Hammers player on the pitch after Reid. He was taken off in the 87th minute for Carl Jenkinson.

Andy Carroll (5.5/10)

The ex-Liverpool striker did not do much in the match but one of his passes left Zarate open in front of goal only for the Argentine to shoot the ball wide.

Substitutes:

Michail Antonio (6/10)

Brought on early for Moses, Antonio had a decent outing at the Old Trafford and his pace created some problems for Darmian.

Pedro Obiang (5/10)

Came on in the 78th minute for Song, and did decent to hold on to a nil-nil draw.

Carl Jenkinson (N/A)

Came on for Zarate in the 87th minute.
