Leicester City v Manchester United - Premier League
The Swede had been the pick of the United defense of late and had dealt with some stellar strikers with relative ease. On Sunday, Lindelof had another test of his character when he came face to face with Jamie Vardy, a cunning fox in the box with amazing efficiency in front of goal.

Vardy had previously given United defense a lot of nightmares, but on the night, Lindelof dealt with him extremely well. The English forward was restricted to a bit part role and was not allowed any time on the ball. As a result, Vardy had a relatively quiet night - he only had one big chance from a set piece - and Leicester missed his goal-scoring instincts dearly.
But Lindelof did not just deal with Vardy, he was massive against the entire Leicester attack, rising the highest and positioning himself well. Having Bailly alongside seems to bring the best out of him and when presented with the ball, the Swedish defender's qualities were evident again. It is now clear why Solskjaer did not indulge in the winter transfer window for a defender - Lindelof currently looks like a massive new signing and he is getting better with each game.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
