Crystal Palace player ratings against Manchester United

Vincente Guaita (Rating: 6/10)

Vincente Guaita
Vincente Guaita

Vincente Guaita, who was the star for Crystal Palace last week, had little to do against Manchester United on Saturday.

Tyrick Mitchell (Rating: 7/10)

Tyrick Mitchell has a few games to prove his worth before Van Aanholt comes back from injury. So far it has been 2 amazing performances. The young English defender also got an assist to his name.

Mamadou Sakho (Rating: 7/10)

Mamadou Sakho only had one week of training but put in an incredible performance against Manchester United.

Cheikhou Kouyate (Rating: 8/10)

A very solid performance from someone who isn't even the first-choice defender. Cheikhou Kouyate was comfortable in dealing with Anthony Martial and was calm and composed throughout the game.

Joel Ward (Rating: 7/10)

Considering how deadly Manchester United are on the flanks, it is safe to say Joel Ward did his job and did it well.

Jeffrey Schlupp: Rating: 7/10

Jeffrey Schlupp is the type of player every coach wants to have in his team. He gives it his all in every game, and the Ghanaian got an assist to his name against Manchester United.

James McCarthy (Rating: 7/10)

James McCarthy put in a steady performance against the likes of Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes. He was solid while defending and had an incredible work rate.

James McArthur (Rating: 7/10)

Together with James McCarthy, James McArthur made sure that the defense was never in trouble.

Andros Townsend (Rating: 8/10)

Known for his magical left-foot, Andros Townsend was just too good against Manchester United. He scored the first goal of the game, which put Crystal Palace on the front foot.

Wilfred Zaha (Rating: 9/10)

Man of the match, and there's no doubt about it. Wilfried Zaha scored a brace against his former side after running at the Manchester United defence whenever he got a sniff. The winger also showed an incredible work rate, something which he isn't known for.

Jordan Ayew (Rating: 7/10)

Like Townsend and Zaha, Jordan Ayew looked threatening on the ball whenever he was involved. The striker came close to doubling the lead but was denied by an epic save by De Gea. He also won the penalty which he then missed but thankfully for him, it did not hurt the London side.

Substitutes:

Eberechi Eze (Rating: 6/10)

Eze showed what he can do and is pairing up with Zaha really well. Crystal Palace has amazing attacking talent this season.

Luka Milivojevic: Rating: N/A

Luka Milivojevic was brought on to add more defensive stability.

Michy Batshuayi (Rating: N/A)

Didn't play enough to get a rating.
