Phil Jones is a liability, that is certain now. Even though United managed to ride on their ridiculous attacking talents to recover a point, it was two unforced errors that almost cost them the game on the night.

While Andreas Pereira was at fault for the first goal, Phil Jones could have avoided giving him the ball when the Brazilian was under pressure from two Burnley players. It was a lack of judgement from the English defender, who still looks like he has a mistake in his game.
This lack of a stellar defender at the back affected the whole United game play on the night. Victor Lindelof was massive, but he was put under too much pressure and as a consequence, it cost his concentration and form on the night.

For the second goal, Jones was out of position and as such Lindelof had to leave his line and cover the near post. This left the far post vacant and Ashley Young could not stop Chris Wood from plotting a simple header in.
As such, a defensive reinforcement is desperately required at United, because against Burnley, two errors cost United two points.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
