The Red Devils are desperate to bolster their defence this summer. Having already bought right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace, they have now turned their attention towards bringing in a centre-back and have earmarked Leicester City's Harry Maguire as their top target this summer.

The Red Devils tried to purchase the 26-year-old last summer but dropped their interest due to the defender's high valuation. However, the Red Devils have reignited their interest in the centre-back and are working hard to strike a deal with the Foxes. Manchester United lodged a £70 million bid for Maguire, but was rejected by the Foxes as they value the centre-back at around £90 million.

Manchester United are still hoping to strike a deal for Harry Maguire and are negotiating a deal for the centre-back with the Foxes. Harry Maguire's rise in the past couple of years has been exponential and he is now ready for a challenge like Manchester United in his career. The 26-year-old is comfortable on the ball with his feet and will compliment Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's style of play, who likes his side to play out from the back.

So, @ManUtd have indeed offered £70m for Harry Maguire. @LCFC board are aware of Maguire's wishes. Not the type to agitate but wrong to say he is happy to stay. However, Leicester's valuation is over £70m so bit of work to do on this one.
