Over the last couple of years, David de Gea has been saving Manchester United's season time and again. Sometimes, he is the reason for United's finish in the Champions League places but this year, the Spaniard couldn't put in displays everyone expected him to.
After a premature end to his World Cup campaign with Spain, it seems like de Gea has taken his bad form to Old Trafford. The Spaniard has made some big mistakes this season, notably the ones against Barcelona in the Champions League and Chelsea in the Premier League.
David has been absolutely brilliant for United in recent years and his contract runs out in 2020. Perhaps, the contract situation might have played a role in his bad form. If de Gea doesn't sign a contract extension, the Spainard could soon be a free-agent. Hence, United might be willing to accept offers for their goalkeeper in the summer.
