Manchester United agree £40m deal for Arturo Vidal, according to reports

Vidal to Man United?

Manchester United’s long pursuit of Arturo Vidal could finally be coming to an end after agreeing a £40 million deal for the Juventus star, according to the Express.

Vidal has been one of the hottest properties in Europe in recent years, but it is only in the last 18 months that the Chilean has really become a major transfer target for many European clubs.

His performances at the World Cup for Chile has put his name even more under the spotlight and Louis van Gaal has made it no secret of his admiration for the box-to-box man.

Manchester United have been keen suitors of the central midfielder, but Juventus have been adamant they would not sell the Chile international. Vidal signed a new contract with the club in December, but it seems that the two sides have finally agreed a deal.

Antonio Conte has told United they will not accept anything less than £40 million and Van Gaal is prepared to come up with the cash and move for the highly-rated 27-year-old.

Vidal reportedly prefers a move to Man United and although he has also been linked to Arsenal, it appears his eventual destination lies up north.
