It is getting to a stage where it can’t be ignored anymore. Manchester United fans, well few of them atleast, seem to be adamant in making their opinion of boss David Moyes be heard by everyone.
So after threatening to take down “The Chosen One” banner post United’s 0-3 loss to local rivals Manchester City, some of the fans are planning to get a plane with the message ‘Wrong One – Moyes Out’ to fly over Old Trafford during Manchester United’s early kick-off against Aston Villa on Saturday.
Respected Manchester United blog Republik of Mancunia has confirmed that “A group of United fans have raised £840 in a day to fund a plane to fly over Old Trafford with a message reading ‘Wrong One – Moyes Out’.”
The funds for the plane to carry the banner were raised on the Red Issue forum and according to a few tweets, the required sum of £840 has been contributed by the users.
While its understandable that fans are miffed with David Moyes, the jury is out on whether a protest of this sort is the right way to go about expressing it.
