Anders Lindegaard: Thank God I play with Robin van Persie

Van Persie scored a brilliant flying header last night

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie was heralded with praise after his fantastic performance last night against Spain in the 5-1 demolition.

The Dutch striker put in a fantastic performance and his first goal was a memorable one as he flew in the air to head home an equaliser against the Spaniards.

Van Persie, a constant threat throughout, went on to score a second goal and also hit the crossbar in what was an eventful game for the Netherlands.

The United striker seemed like he was back to himself after a disappointing season for the Red Devils, which was blighted by injuries and a loss of form.

After many people praised van Persie for his efforts, there was one man, who the forward will know well, that was grateful he played with the Dutchman.

Second choice goalkeeper at Old Trafford Anders Lindegaard posted on his Twitter page that he was delighted to be playing with the Dutchman in Manchester, rather than against him.

While the Danish shot-stopper will be delighted to be on the same team as the striker, he will still have to face van Persie in training next season.
