Manchester United have no intentions of letting Angel Di Maria leave

Manchester United aren’t planning on letting Angel Di Maria go anytime soon

Reports suggest that Manchester United aren’t planning on letting Angel di Maria leave anytime soon. The player’s poor form in recent games has put his future at the club into question.

There were stories that United boss Louis van Gaal had “berated” Di Maria in the dressing room, following his inability to help keep the ball in the 2-1 victory at Liverpool, all of which only served to fuel the possibility of the player moving out of Old Trafford this summer.

Although the Argentine had a promising start at the club, his form has faded gradually and his starting role at the club is not very certain at the moment.

Di Maria was initially linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, before eventually joining Manchester United in a record breaking £59.7 million transfer. Jorge Mendes’ good relationship with Manchester United’s Executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward helped the deal go through seamlessly.

The Argentinian winger is the most expensive signing in the club's history and that is the main reason why they do not wish to sell him and are hoping that he will find his feet at Old Trafford soon.

Although Di Maria is supposedly discontent with Van Gaal’s instructions which require him to refrain from running with the ball, he is one of the very few players in the team who have got a nod from the manager to make forward surges.
