Good evening folks! It's time for your daily dosage of all the latest transfer happenings from around the globe. The Champions League is hours away from restarting but as always, all the top clubs from around Europe won't stop looking at potential summer targets in order to strengthen their weak areas. On that note, let's take a look at all the top transfer news that made headlines on February 13, 2018:
Manchester United eyeing two centre-backs worth over £100 million
If the Daily Mirror is to be believed, Jose Mourinho is looking to revamp his defence in the summer and has finalized two central targets. Sunday's 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United was said to be the last straw with the manager now looking for upgrades on the English duo of Chris Smalling and Phil Jones. Just as Liverpool did with Van Dijk and City did with Laporte, United now want to invest heavily in centre-backs.
Harry Maguire of Leicester City is the first player on Mourinho's radar who has impressed the Special One with his robust displays for the Foxes. Maguire is valued at around £50 million by the Premier League side. The second target is Real Madrid's Raphael Varane who has been a long-term target for Mourinho.
The duo goes a long way back with Mourinho being the boss who gave a debut to the Frenchman. Varane is also reportedly looking for a reunion but will cost higher than Maguire. Looking at their market values, Maguire and Varane will cost United around £120 million.
David Moyes not looking to leave West Ham United at the end of the season
The Hammers boss has revealed to Talksport that he is not looking to leave the London club at the end of the season. Moyes was signed in November on a deal until the end of the season with a job to keep West Ham safe from relegation. He has done that successfully until now with West Ham currently in 12th position, five points away from the drop zone.
