Manchester United may not have made a significant signing in January, but they haven't shied away from clearing names off their wage bill. The Red Devils have sold two players and loaned out seven others before the transfer window slammed shut.

Loans:

Ethan Hamilton (Rochdale)

Ethan Hamilton has been loaned out to Rochdale for the remainder of the 2018/19 season. The 20-year-old signed his first professional contract with United at the start of this campaign and made his senior debut in the pre-season tour against AC Milan.

Joel Pereira (Kortrijk)

Goalkeeper Joel Pereira's wait to become a first-team regular at Old Trafford has been extended yet again. The 22-year-old shot-stopper was loaned out for the fourth time; he joined KV Kortrijk, who are 10th in the Belgian First Division.

Prior to his latest loan move, Pereira spent the first half of this season on loan to Portuguese side Vitoria Setubal.

Regan Poole (Newport)

Signed as a young prodigy in 2015, Welshman Regan Poole has been loaned out for the second time by Manchester United in January. He will ply his trade at Newport for the remainder of the season.

Poole is yet to make a senior appearance at United, albeit he has succeeded in making the bench at Old Trafford in 2017.

Tom Sang (Fylde)

Tom Sang, who signed a new deal for Man United last year, has signed for Fylde on loan until the end of the season. The 19-year-old is primarily a center-back, possessing the versatility of functioning anywhere in the back four.

He has featured for United's U23 side and in the UEFA Youth League.

Callum Whelan (Port Vale)

20-year-old Callum Whelan has been loaned out to League Two outfit Port Vale until the end of the season. The talented midfielder committed his future to the club at the start of this campaign.

He has also been a nominee for the Jimmy Murphy Player of the Year award.

Zak Dearnley (Oldham)

Zak Dearnley, alongside Callum Whelan, signed a contract extension at Manchester United at the start of the season. The 19-year-old forward has been loaned out to Oldham.

He also made it to the bench for a Premier League game against Crystal Palace in 2017.

Matty Willock (Crawley)

Matty Willock has been loaned out for the fourth time by Manchester United; he will play for Crawley Town until the season ends.

The 22-year-old spent the first half of the season on loan at Scottish Premier League side St. Mirren.

TRANSFERS

Ro-Shaun Williams (Shrewsbury)

20-year-old Ro-Shaun Williams has left Manchester United permanently and signed a two-and-a-half year deal for Shrewsbury.

Coming through the youth ranks at Carrington, Williams made two bench appearances for the senior team in 2016 and was also a part of Jose Mourinho's pre-season tour last summer.

Marouane Fellaini (Shandong Lueneng)

Marouane Fellaini has parted ways with Manchester United and signed for Chinese Super League outfit Shandong Lueneng. The Belgian made 177 appearances over a span of seven years and scored 22 goals for the Red Devils.

Shandong Lueneng paid £10.5m to bring Fellaini to China. The 31-year-old will earn around £365,000 per week at his new club.
