Manchester United marching towards rocky finish line in the Premier League
At this moment, Manchester United fans will be looking forward to win the FA cup miraculously and secure Champions League qualification amidst tough competition from Arsenal and Liverpool. Though they have just matched last season’s win percentage (no. of wins/no. of matches), United fans have a feeling that this season hasn’t gone all bad yet. March and April are testing times for the Red Devils’ patience.
United play eight games in these two months. They play teams from the top 7 in five of these eight games. Newcastle and Everton as well aren’t easy fixtures. Aston Villa is fighting a relegation battle and will surely put up a tough fight.
Adding psychological disadvantage to this is the resurgence of Liverpool with an unbeaten run of 11 league games ever since Manchester United defeated them 3-0. With renewed spirit, Liverpool are now fighting for a Champions League spot and are just 2 points behind United.
Along this rocky path towards the season’s finish line, will United be able to bring some happiness to their fans by winning FA cup and qualifying for Champions League?
