What's the story?

Manchester United legend Gary Neville slammed Ed Woodward and the culture of the club in his latest attack.

In case you didn't know

Since Ole Gunner Solskjaer took charge in December, the Red Devils enjoyed positive results initially but things are not looking good considering their recent results. United have won only twice in their last 11 games, which saw them getting knocked out of the FA Cup and the Champions League.

The Red Devils are without a win in their last five matches and their latest 1-1 draw against Huddersfield in the league confirmed that they will not feature in the Champions League next season.

Solskjaer was announced as the permanent manager after a string of good performances, which included a 3-1 win against PSG in the second leg of Champions League Round of 16. United are currently 6th in the Premier League table, 4 points behind fourth-placed Tottenham with just a game left in the league.

The heart of the matter

Neville never shied away from criticising United and started a fresh attack on Ed Woodward.

Speaking on Monday night football, the former United icon said:

"Ed Woodward's had seven years now at this. Seven years. I think he's had his chance personally. I think he's had his chance at running the football side of the club."
"No problem with keeping him at the club on the business side of things. The revenues, the operating profit, I'd imagine are pleasing the Glazer family enormously. That's fine, but he's had his chance at running the football side of the club."

Neville also took a dig on the current culture of the Red Devils.

"There is a cultural problem at the football club. There is a cultural problem, it's deep. The decisions are bad, the choices are poor."
"Who is signing the players this summer? Every other football club in this country I could tell you who is in charge of signings. I haven't got a clue at Manchester United."

What's next?

Manchester United will host Cardiff City in their remaining fixture of the Premier League this season.
