Borussia Moenchengladbach

Manchester United’s midfield woes have been very well documented and David Moyes is planning of making them go away by signing two of Germany’s brightest young talents as his European scouting mission, currently sees him in Germany.

Moyes is reportedly targeting 22-year-old Patrick Hermann and 25-year-old Max Kruse, both of Borussia Monchengladbach, who are currently flying high in the Bundesliga, to help lift the spirits at Old Trafford which is currently at an all-time low.

With the squad lacking in too many world class talents, the United boss has reported been given a substantial war chest to bring in a few players in January and Moyes is looking at Germany for some of his major business. United have already been linked with Dortmund’s Ilkay Gundogan, who is considering his options about a summer move to United and his team-mate Marco Reus has also been linked with United in the not so distant past.

However, the United boss is looking at Gladbach’s young German international Max Kruse, who has been the club’s star performer so far this campaign, to bang in the goals in the future with Rooney’s future looking uncertain and Van Persie growing older and more fragile with each passing day. The 25-year-old German striker already has eight goals and five assists in the first half of the current campaign as is developing into one of the most complete forwards in Europe.

Attacking midfielder Patrick Herrmann who has been dubbed the “new Marco Reus” is another player who has caught Moyes’s eyes. The 22-year-old has been a revelation on the right wing and already has three goals and five assists to his name. With quality wingers being in such short supply at United, Moyes is keen on bring Herrmann to Manchester before it is too late.

Moyes will be in attendance in close quarters this Friday as the Bundesliga kicks off with a top of the table clash between Bayern Munich and Gladbach. False dawn or prelude to bigger things, only time will tell. But Moyes is keen on some reinforcements in January and the truth is he might just make a few.
