Moyes should forget Marco Reus and target Lallana, Di Maria or Koke

Manchester United target Marco Reus stated he will not follow his ex-teammates Robert Lewandowski and Mario Gotze in search of big money in move out of Borussia Dortmund. Reus, 24, is not likely to join the Red Devils, as he is now set to sign a new contract extension with Borussia.

Here are 3 cheaper and realistic alternatives Moyes should look at -

1. Adam Lallana | Southampton

An absolute revelation of the season, Lallana has been a hard-working machine for the Saints, scoring and assisting five times in his 21 appearances in the English Premier League this season. The 25-year-old captain has been the key to Southampton’s success, who are currently placed on a secure 9th position in the table. Playing also as attacking midfielder, the Saints‘ captain uses not only his agility to blaze past the opponents defenders, but also is clever in his passes and carries the ball forward. His skills have been shown during the tremendous 4-1 win over Hull City, leaving behind the rivals to later find the net from a low angle. Any good bid from United will test Southampton’s resolve.

2. Angel di Maria | Real Madrid

Di Maria could be the next star after Mesut Ozil to leave the Spanish giants if David Moyes decided to splash the cash on the Argentinean midfielder. The 25-year-old has told the press back in December he did not eye any move, but things could have changed since then, as Moyes has reportedly been handed £200m to reinforce the squad with from the board. The Argentina international has a valid contract with Real Madrid until 2018, still a major offer from Manchester United could be seeing him move to the Old Trafford.

3. Koke | Atletico Madrid

Last but not least is the Spanish prodigy who has been having a stupendous season at Atletico Madrid. The Spanish club has been producing to later sell great stars over the past few years, including now Monaco star Radamel Falcao, Chelsea forward Fernando Torres or Sergio Aguero from Manchester City. Koke, kept well by manager Diego Simeone, could be another pearl ready to shine for a bigger club. The 21-year-old midfielder might prefer to stay at Vincente Calderon though after signing a new deal in September. Also Simeone, who is chasing La Liga championship this season, is not likely to let one of his key players go at the half point mark of this season.
