Rumour: Long term Manchester United target says no to move

Sneijder of Galatasaray challenges Marchisio of Juventus during their Champions League soccer match in Istanbul

Manchester United target Wesley Sneijder has confirmed that he has no interest of leaving Turkish giants Galatasaray.

Despite having been in Turkey for less than a year, Sneijder had been linked with a move away – particularly to the Premier League.

Links to the likes of the Manchester United refuse to go away, with the Dutchman known to have been a target for the Red Devils in the past.

United remain in the market for a creative talent in midfield and Sneijder’s ability would make him appealing to any top club.

The 29-year-old is, however, keen to point out that no approach has been made and he has reiterated that he will not be drawn into a debate regarding his future until there is something to discuss.

Sneijder told Beyaz TV: “You would know better than me if I received any offers. Up to now there are no offers.

“There are rumours about me in every transfer window. I look forward to the end of transfer windows so people stop talking about me.

“I’m very happy here with the team and the fans and I have no reason to leave.

“This type of news always happens. You just need to wait until the end of the window.”
