The Manchester United youngster was gifted a shirt by former United player Beckham

Marcus Rashford, the most recent among the illustrious names to have come out of the Manchester United academy, received a signed shirt from one of the best and most successful to have trodden the same path in David Beckham.

The boy from Manchester was send signed number 7 shirt from David Beckham, which contained the message "To Marcus, good luck and continue working hard and playing with joy and passion. Love David Beckham." That will be a huge boost for the youngster, as David would have been one of his heroes while growing up.

Rashford broke into the first team last season when Louis Van Gaal was posed with a conundrum after all his first choice strikers in Wayne Rooney, Anthony Martial, and Will Keane was injured. The youngster announced himself to the world with a brace against Midtjylland and followed it up with a brace against Arsenal.

He hasn't looked back since then, going on to score eight goals in eighteen matches for the Manchester outfit. He got selected for England after scoring on his debut for the three lions but didn't feature as much as he would have (and the English fans) liked to.

It remains to be seen what the new season brings for the youngster after Mourinho made it clear that Marcus is firmly in the new United manager's mind in an interview with MUTV, in which he said "Thirty-four is his age plus 18 Marcus Rashford's age,' Mourinho said in an interview with MUTV. 'Thirty-four plus 18 divided by two is the perfect age for a football player. So our two strikers are exactly in the perfect age, because 18 is not the perfect age, 34 is not. So I think they can be an amazing complement for each other."
