Manchester United - The Beauty of Stretford End

The Stretford End, also known as the West Stand, is the stand located on the west side of Old Trafford. For every Manchester United fan, it’s a dream to be at the Stretford End at some point in his/her life. The fans, the chants, the roaring, the cheering all together makes it an amazing feeling to be there.

It was once measured that the roar of the crowd from the Stretford End was louder than a Jumbo jet taking off, which just proves how noisy the Stand is with all the fans cheering for Manchester United. The stand is famous for fans singing many famous United chants and and putting up famous banners which have become a part of the history of the club over the years.

1] ” Glory Glory Man United” :- The most sung chant at the Stretford End without a shadow of a doubt is “Glory Glory Man United“. It’s one of the most famous chants in the world football, and this chant is sung before every match begins, during the match, and even after the match at the club’s home stadium Old Trafford.

2] “We love United” :- Mostly sung after the end of a game by the fans along with huge round of applause.

1] 019 Times:The famous time clock banner. This banner made it’s debut on 22 May 2011 when Manchester United were crowned Champions of England for a record 19th time. The ’0′ infront of the current 19 count, is for future success to be properly recorded.

2] MUFC The Religion:Representing love and passion for Manchester United.

3] Manchester is my heaven:This banner made it’s debut in 2010. “Manchester is my heaven” were Sir Matt Busby’s words in response to an offer made by Santiago Berneabeu Yeste to manage Real Madrid in 1956.

4] Giggs – tearing you apart since 1991:Referring to the love towards the legendary Ryan Giggs and his extraordinarily long standing career at Manchester United.

5] 20LEGEND: This banner refers to Manchester United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who’s jersey number was 20. He was always and still is a fan favourite.

6] One Love – Stretford End – MUFC:One love is the title of a song which was played after Manchester United had won the European Cup final in 1999.

7] 6 February 1958 – The flowers of Manchester:This banner refers to the love towards the Busby babes who had passed away in the 1958 Munich Air Disaster.
