Sport Bild understands that FC Barcelona are the latest club to take note of Schalke's midfielder, Leon Goretzka. The talented player is set to cause a transfer battle between a host of clubs with him rejecting a new contract from his current club.
Goretzka will be a free agent next summer and has hence attracted the attention from the likes of Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Liverpool. But the German publication has reported that it is now going to be a two-way battle between FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich for the signature of the German international.
Liverpool wanted Thomas Muller to replace Philippe Coutinho
After receiving a €120 million offer for Philippe Coutinho, Bild claimed that Liverpool were ready to sell the Brazilian if they had received a green signal to conduct talks with Bayern Munich's Thomas Muller. But the Bavarians rebuffed any approach for the 28-year-old which led the Reds to toughen their stance on Coutinho's future.
