Yannick Carrasco not to be sold this January

Despite recent reports linking Carrasco with a move away from Wanda Metropolitana, Atletico chief has revealed that the Belgian winger will stay put with the club. Carrasco has been linked with Bayern Munich and a number of Premier League clubs in recent times.

Speaking on Spanish radio show El Transistor, Miguel Angel Gil Marin, Atleti’s CEO said, “The idea with Yannick Carrasco is that he stays and becomes one of our main winter reinforcements. People speak from ignorance because it is easy to do it, but he has had knee problems and that’s why he has not had a good first half of the season.”
