#1 United want Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele

Manchester United are said to be determined to sign Tanguy Ndombele(R)

According to reports from France Football as cited by the Mirror, Manchester United have emerged as front-runners to land Lyon starlet Tanguy Ndombele. The Red Devils have apparently entered the race already crowded by Barcelona, Tottenham and Manchester City.

Ndombele also recently revealed that he could have left Lyon in the summer but was glad to stay put. Speaking on the matter, he said:

“I could have gone, maybe things would have worked out well. The club was firm, they didn’t want me to leave. I didn’t feel like leaving, and I think that today you can see that it was the best decision for me."

“Things are going well, I am playing a lot of games, and I am in the French national team. So, I think for the moment it was the best decision.”

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas also confirmed that the club has already rejected offers of more than £45m for the midfielder.
