#1 Manchester United in talks with Nikola Milenkovic
Defensive reinforcements are the top priority at Manchester United as the club prepares to enter the January transfer window. The Red Devils have been linked with a host of fine defenders - and one of them is rising Fiorentina centre-back Nikola Milenkovic.
Milenkovic was viewed by Jose Mourinho as the perfect solution to get rid of the defensive woes at Manchester United. He also had the 21-year-old scouted in an international break earlier this season.
According to La Repubblica via Express, the Red Devils are said to be in talks with his agent regarding a January move. United are reluctant to make a marquee signing so as to save funds to bring a new manager in the summer next season.
However, the talks between Milenkovic's agent and the Red Devils are said to be positive and a deal could possibly be struck next month. However, Manchester United could be required to pay a hefty fee for the Serbian, who is valued at £45m by his current employers.
