Manchester United have their share of problems to take care about, much like any other club in Europe. The English outfit is currently in the market for a world-class defender but also need a proper right winger to plug the gaps in their attack.

The Red Devils have been linked with Juventus' Douglas Costa on a number of occasions, but it seems they will require a lot more effort to bring the Brazilian to Old Trafford.

According to Calciomercato as cited by Manchester Evening News, the Bianconeri have spurned United's advances with a €60m bid for Costa. It is said that Juventus director is unsatisfied by the magnitude of money the Red Devils are willing to offer for the 28-year-old right winger.

Costa returned to Juventus following a loan move to Bayern Munich last season. However, he has been restricted to the fringes, having made only 12 appearances in the Serie A, due to the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.
