Atletico wants Griezmann to join United

Barcelona’s behind-the-back attempt to sign Antoine Griezmann has not gone well with Atletico Madrid as the Spanish club have ruled out selling the Frenchman to Barcelona at any cost, reports Don Balon.

Atletico Madrid have already lodged a complaint to FIFA over Barcelona’s pursuit of Griezmann which could see a drastic step being taken against the current La Liga leaders.

Amidst the recent developments, Don Balon claims Manchester United are now the favourites to sign Griezmann next summer and are ready to pay his reported £100 million release clause.

Griezmann shares a close relationship with Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial and Jose Mourinho fancies Griezmann over any other player to play in behind Romelu Lukaku next season.

Atletico Madrid have already made it clear that they would not stand in Griezmann’s way if he wants to exit the club and with Diego Costa’s availability from January, United could start negotiating the transfer for the French striker.

Bale to Man United is still making the news

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is keen to sign both Antoine Griezmann and Gareth Bale and is ready to sell as many as 6 players to fund that move, reports Daily Star.

According to reports, Mourinho has already given a green light to Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Luke Shaw’s departure with Matteo Darmian, Daley Blind, Marouane Fellaini and James Wilson also expected to be sold by the Red Devils.

As per Marca’s evaluation, Griezmann and Bale would cost United in the region of £170-200million and United’s board has indicated to Mourinho that he needs to clear his squad before they release further funds for new signings next summer.

Apart from Griezmann and Bale, Bordeaux winger Malcolm, Juventus left-back Alex Sandro, and Lazio’s Milinkovi?-Savi? are also tipped to make their move to Old Trafford in January or next summer.

Inter refuse to rule out a move for Blind

Blind is tipped to quit Man United in January

Inter Milan manager Luciano Spalletti is still chasing after Manchester United defender Daley Blind and is setting up a January move, reports Calciomercato.

Blind has failed to play regular football under Mourinho in recent seasons and is most likely to quit Old Trafford in January.

Inter are currently dominating the Serie A and have a very good chance of winning the Serie A title this season and this has prompted the Inter manager Spalletti to strengthen his squad during the January transfer window.

Blind is equally capable of playing in central defence, left-back and even as a defensive midfielder for any team in any league.

Commenting on Inter's January transfer plans, Spalletti said: “Blind? I talk about my players because the points we win in the next few matches will be done with them.

"Milinkovi?-Savi? and Luis Alberto? They have great quality. I think they are interesting players for big clubs. We are a big club, but I repeat: I prefer to talk about my players because it is with them that we will look to be successful."
