Schalke striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has rubbished all rumors linking him with a move to Premier League champions Manchester United.
The Premier League champions were reportedly keen on the 27-year-old striker, but the player quashed all the rumors.
Speaking to Bild.de, he said:
“There is nothing to it [moving away from Schalke]. I want to stay and play for Schalke so I can enjoy a good season.I can exclude moving to a big club at the moment.A striker always wants to score as many as possible, but what’s more important is the team’s success. But I do want to score goals.”
Huntelaar joined Schalke last year from AC Milan and is tied to the Bundesliga club until 2013. The player scored 8 goals in 24 appearances in his debut season where the club had a decent outing in the Champions League, losing out eventually to Manchester United in the semifinal.
