Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's appointment as Manchester United interim boss has brought a fresh wave of positiveness and Anthony Martial extending his stay could well be the highlight of the move.

According to French journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi, Martial has agreed to a new five-year contract until 2024, with the official signing set to take place before Friday.

The Frenchman looked to be at the end of his tether at Old Trafford during Mourinho's reign and was keen on making a switch.

However, Solskjaer's positive impact at the club has changed his mind and he is now ready to extend his stay at Old Trafford.

The 23-year-old joined United for £38m from Monaco in 2015. Should he sign the extension, Martial could be joined by a host of other players, with De Gea, Herrera, Mata and Young all waiting for sorting out their futures at the club.
