Manchester United's have been desperately trying to add a world-class defender to their squad this summer, but their efforts failed to bear fruit so far. The Red Devils were trying to find the perfect defensive partner for Victor Lindelof, but it now seems that the future of the Swiss International is uncertain.

The Telegraph quotes the player's agent, Hasan Cetinkaya's statement given to Mundo Deportivo, where he hints at Barcelona's interest in his client but also affirms that United will decide Lindelof's future.

Lindelof is in the orbit of a great European club but leaving United depends on the English club.

The Swiss International came into his own last season and has been fabulous since Solskjaer took over. United are currently interested in signing Leicester City's Harry Maguire as a defensive partner for Lindelof but have been deterred by the player's asking price. Solskjaer is reportedly willing to let Darmian and Rojo leave this summer, but Lindelof is firmly part of his plans.
