Marco Reus keeps quiet over his Borussia Dortmund contract

Will Marco Reus stay at Dortmund next season?

Borussia Dortmund’s attacking starlet Marco Reus has chosen not to comment on the matter of his contract renewal.

The 24-year-old has been linked to Manchester United who are ready to go on a spending spree this summer with a budget of £200 million at their disposal.

Reus had allegedly been offered a new contract with a better payroll over his previous £28 million deal to shrug off the interests from Old Trafford as reports have suggested.

But the German remained silent when asked about his current situation at the club while stressing that he is still happy to play at the Signal Iduna Park.

“I’m not saying anything about my contract,” he told Bild.

“But I do have the time to emphasize how good I feel at Dortmund.”

Reus has been a pivotal player for Dortmund this season, securing a second place in the Bundesliga table after drawing against Bayer Leverkusen.

Although Jurgen Klopp has had several players missing through injuries, he has stepped up in crucial moments and helped them end the season on a positive note.

Whether he chooses to stay at the club or leaves for England next season remains to be seen.
