Mario Balotelli hopes using Luis Suarez's shin pads bring him luck
Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli is trying everything to get his goal scoring form back. So much that reports from the Sunday People claim that the Italian hopes using his predecessor Luis Suarez’s shin pads will bring luck to him.
Balotelli who has scored only four goals in 23 games since his move from AC Milan is hoping that using last year’s Golden Boot winners shin pads will rub some of Suarez’s goal scoring form onto him.
Balotelli who found Suarez’s old shin pads at the Melwood training base called the Uruguayan to ask him if could use them. Suarez delighted by the honour was glad to let the 24-year old Italian use the pads.
Suarez also back in stride, struck twice at Manchester this week during Barcelona’s Champions League 2-1 victory over Manchester city.
A source reveals that: “Luis was in great form and only too happy to help when he received the call from Mario.”
