Mario Goetze open to United transfer
German superstar Mario Goetze has openly admitted that he is keen on a transfer to Manchester United or the big two in Spain. However, he doesn’t see himself leaving Germany any time soon.
The 20-year-old has been a dominating force in the Borussia line-up and has attracted interest from big clubs. He has already scored 14 goals and provided 16 assists in this season for Dortmund and is an established player in the German line-up too.
“Clubs such as Real Madrid, Barcelona or Manchester United are attractive, other top leagues would help me develop.”
“But I’m not thinking of that at the moment,” said Goetze in an interview with German TV station Sport1.
Goetze recently signed a contract with his current club that will keep the player in his native land until 2016 therefore a move before that is unlikely.
‘I’m happy in Dortmund and very happy how things are going. Therefore, it is still a bit away’
He added: “Yes [the contract was a sign he would stay in Dortmund], otherwise I would not be renewed. Then there would have been no reason for it.”
