Arsenal have reportedly opened talks with Czech Republic side Viktoria Plzen with a bid to land young striker Martin Graiciar, despite Arsene Wenger’s insistence that his eyes are not currently on the transfer market.

The Gunners have always had an eye for bringing in young talent from around the world and Wenger’s scouts have reported back positively over Graiciar, who has been impressing in Plzen’s youth sides.

Graiciar scored a hat-trick for the Czech side’s under 16 side in front of Arsenal scouts and the clubs have been locked in talks with an eye to bring the forward to the Emirates to continue his development.

Graiciar had a trail with Arsenal in December and impressed Wenger enough for the Frenchman to sanction a move, feeling he has enough promise to potentially be a fixture in the side in the future.

Chelsea and Real Madrid are also looking at the striking prospect according to reports in the Czech media, but Arsenal are considered to be favourites due to their reputation for nurturing youth and giving them first team opportunities.

The rumoured cost of the player will be a paltry £200,000, though their are complications with Sparta Prague who initially nurtured him and are due a share of any future transfer from Plzen.
