Manchester United is a team which has always relied on young talent from their own academy to take them forward. We have seen the likes of Ryan Giggs, David Beckham and the Neville brothers excel in the past and players such as Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford are taking the tradition forward.

With so much uncertainty surrounding the injury to so many senior players, it might well be the right opportunity to give a chance to the youth from the academy to showcase their talent on the biggest stage.

One of the players who should soon play in the highest level must be Mason Greenwood. The only genuine strikers in the senior squad right now are Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford. If there is a situation when there is a need for additional reinforcement in this area, Mason Greenwood is an option who must be tried. Although the youngster is injured right now, the 17-year-old has all the qualities to make it big in the club.

Mason Greenwood has already made a name for himself as a constituent of Manchester United's future attack. The English teenager scored 17 goals in 17 appearances last season in the Under-18 Premier Lague and was awarded a professional contract with the club at the start of this season. He is someone who is good with the ball and is a genuine striker. Greenwood has been impressive with both his feet and that is one of his assets. Greenwood was a part of the bench in Manchester United's final group stage game in the Champions League against Sevilla and he should be considered for the team against Crystal Palace.

Manchester United's youth products have excelled in recent times and hence, the Old Trafford club must consider this injury crisis as an opportunity to further develop their youngsters. Greenwood is just 17-years-old and the exposure he would get by being in a Premier League game would help him a lot in the future.

Manchester United Academy's Tahith Chong and Angel Gomes have already shown glimpses of their talent and it could be Greenwood's turn to follow his teammates in the game against Crystal Palace.
