Everton have been one of the league's biggest spenders in recent years, but have not gotten good value for money and were truly atrocious last time out in their 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa.

In response, coach Marco Silva fielded a different side, with three new signings making their first league starts.

Richarlison put Everton ahead inside five minutes after a defensive mixup between Rui Patricio and Cono Coady, but the hosts saw their lead canceled after just three minutes when Saiss pulled one back for the away side.

One of the home debutants; Alex Iwobi put The Toffees ahead once again in the 12th minute after heading in Gylfi Sigurdsson's pin-point cross in what was a frantic start to the game at Goodison Park.

This was the status quo maintained until the 75th minute when Raul Jimenez showed great courage to nod Wolves level, but that was not to be the last of the goal mouth action, as Richarlison got his second on the night when he expertly headed a Lucas Digne cross to continue Everton's excellent run of form in front of their fans.

Matchday 4 was concluded at The Emirates, as Arsenal hosted Tottenham in the North London derby.

The derby is one of the most anticipated fixtures in English football, and the latest installment did not disappoint, as both sides gave their all in what was an end-to-end match.

Tottenham raced into a 2-0 lead, with Christian Erisken putting them 1-0 up in the 10th minute after some defensive errors, while Harry Kane blasted a ball into the net from the spot for his tenth North London derby goal to sit joint-top on the scorers chart in this fixture.

An emphatic finish by Alexandre Lacazette just before half-time meant Arsenal went into the dressing room in the ascendancy with the deficit halved, and this was a momentum they maintained upon resumption after the break.

The introduction of Dani Ceballos in the second half helped Arsenal control the game, and their pressure in the second half finally paid off after a deft flick by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from a Matteo Guendouzi pass found its way into the back of the net.
