Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo had recently conducted a new poll surveying 100 coaches and captains of National teams voting for the Ballon d’Or, and Lionel Messi was the clear-cut winner with 76% of the vote.

Among the hundred participants, Messi won the first place with 384 points, sitting way ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo with 180 points while Andres Iniesta stood third with 145 points.

A genuine outrage clearly depicts among the Internet survey, according to experts of football, that Lionel Messi should be the one to win the Golden Ball at the FIFA gala in Zurich to be organized on 7th January.

Lionel Messi is only seven goals away from equaling Gerd Müller’s world record of 85 for Bayern Munich and West Germany in a calendar year (1972). He currently has 78 and at the rate he is going, don’t be surprised if Christmas comes early for Messi.
