Barcelona‘s ace striker Lionel Messi has signed a new deal with the club which is set to keep him with the Catalan outfit until 2018. The new deal will see the Argentine earn €35 million a year. Also, if Barcelona win the Champions League, Messi stands to earn an extra €2 million.
However, Messi’s fixed net pay will only be around €15 million-a-year, as he would would have to fish out 56% of his income in accordance with Spain’s tax laws.
His buyout clause still stands at €250 million.
