Mesut Ozil's Tattoo

German maverick and world cup winner, Mesut Ozil, must be enjoying his break after winning the World Cup before he has to go begin a new season with the newly bolstered squad of Arsenal. A brilliant attacking midfielder, Ozil has cemented his place on the German squad and has become talismanic to Arsenal. He possesses the intelligence and skill to bring apart defenses with his precise passes and through balls and his powerful shots are also a threat to the goal. But these are feats that we have all seen and already talked about. Beyond football, Mesut Ozil also has an interest in ink and tattoos.

Ever since moving to Arsenal, Ozil was seen sporting a tattoo on his left shoulder. And until Germany’s match, not many had seen it fully. Ozil has had a huge lion tattooed onto his upper arm and it looks quite nice too. The Lion is giving a huge roar and the words, “Only God can judge me” and written underneath it. There was mixed reaction to this tattoo by the fans. Some thought the tattoo was poorly done and not thought through properly, calling it more of an embarrassing mark than a cool one. Whereas, there are those who think the image of the roaring lion on the shoulder of the man of such stature is fitting enough and looks very good on him too.
