Kazuyoshi Miura, a former Japan international, broke his own record for the oldest player to have scored a goal in the J-League just 16 seconds into the game.

He helped Yokohama FC to win 3-1 over Tochigi SC in Japan’s second division on Wednesday. Miura was 46 years, four months and seven days old when he scored the goal, thereby beating his own record by more than a year.

He said: “I received a nice pass. The rest was the same as Neymar. I have watched his games many times. My left-footed shot was just like Neymar.”
