Mohun Bagan might appoint a Technical Director

Mohun Bagan fans might get shocked again, as rumour spreads that Mohun Bagan will appoint a Technical Director ahead of coach Santosh Kashyap. After their horrible exit from the group stage of the 34^th Federation Cup, many questions were raised about Kashyap’s ability to control a heavy-weight team like Mohun Bagan. As Kashyap is the recruit of captain Odafa Okolie, club officials did not raise their voice against the coach. But a couple of days before, Kashyap stated clearly in front of the media that there was a clash between Odafa and Tolgay in the Federation Cup match against Air India. Regarding this statement, club officials and Tolgay himself got angry with him. Though Kashyap has gone to Mumbai stating he had some ‘personal work’, it seems like after he comes back in Kolkata, Mohun Bagan officials will talk with him.

The club officials have nominated two names for the position of Technical Director, David Booth and Carlos Pareira. While Booth is very good in man-management, at the same time Carlos has the past experience of managing Barreto-Bhaichung. Meanwhile, Mohun Bagan secretary Anjan Mitra made it clear that though Santosh will remain the coach of Mohun Bagan, but they have a strong desire to recruit a foreign T.D to maintain the club.

Meanwhile, another giant from Kolkata, Prayag United, will continue their coaching under coach Sanjoy Sen.
