Kolkata giant Mohun Bagan is going to start its Kolkata Premier League campaign today against West Bengal Police at the Salt Lake Stadium. Today’s match is going to be Mohun Bagan’s last match before the Federation Cup. Although some players are not fit enough to make it to the squad due to fever and injury, coach Santosh Kashyap is still hopeful that they will snatch a win against West Bengal Police.

Mohun Bagan did not play their last two Kolkata Premier League matches due to the Tolgay issue. As a result, the Indian Football Association (IFA) decided to give points to the two opponents, who were present in the stadium on the respective match days. As Mohun Bagan had already lost some points and are standing quite low in the league table, the Mariners captain Okolie Odafa stated that they want to start their campaign in Premier League with a win.

Coach Santosh Kashyap stated yesterday in a press conference, “Some players have got injuries. We have to take the pressure of Fed Cup. I hope they will be all fit before that”. Meanwhile, Aussie striker Tolgay Ozbey is quite doubtful for today’s match, as he suffered got a hamstring injury in the last exhibition match at Jammu & Kashmir.
