Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has admitted he would like to move to a Champions League club amid speculation linking him with a summer switch to Arsenal.

The 24-year-old was named on France’s standby list for the World Cup after an impressive season with the Saints. Schneiderlin has played a key role in Southampton's upward progress over the years and it's no surprise to see him linked with the Gunners.

With the rest of his teammates linked with a move away from the St Mary's club, Schneiderlin has finally spoken out that one day he wishes to play for a great club.

Arsenal are said to be among Schneiderlin’s biggest admirers, and he admits a decision is likely to be made on his future “in the coming weeks”. The Gunners are known to have been tracking him for months and a move to the north London club is very likely to happen.

“For my progress and my visibility, it would be better to play for a club who play in the Champions League,” he said.
