Motherwell FC replicated the Manchester United video with a slight twist

Unveiling new players on social media has become a competition of some sorts for football clubs around the world - who can be more creative and funnier than the other?

When Manchester United unveiled Alexis Sanchez following their swap deal with Arsenal that saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan go the other way, the Red Devils released a video that grabbed eyeballs as the tweet went viral.

Tapping into the Chilean forward's skills on the piano, they got the 29-year-old to play a rendition of 'Glory, Glory Man United' as he pulled on the famous no.7 kit that is so iconic at Old Trafford.

Not to be outdone, Scottish Premiership club Motherwell FC got into the act to announce their own new signing - Peter Hartley. The defender had made the switch from Blackpool and had signed a contract that would keep him at the club till 2020.

The unveiling video was made along the same lines. But instead of a grand piano used by Alexis, Hartley was seen playing a miniature sized keyboard!

Obviously, the tweet went viral and United themselves tipped their hat to the Scottish club for their effort.

And just to stick it to them further, Motherwell responded too.

Well played, Motherwell!
